The Nordic Guest Studio- Peter Evans (UK)

Event type:
The Nordic Guest Studio
When:
1 Sep 2016 to 20 Sep 2016

Our guest Peter J. Evans, invited by hangmenProjects is interested in the nature and ideas of finite truth in an infinitely changeable universe and works with drawing, sculpture, installation, performance and sound in an attempt to make sense of the ungraspable realities we live within. A specialist in non-specialism he has been making art, music and other constructions since 1992. Fascinated by systems and patterns, Evans’ artistic process is a meditative investigation into reality and the stories underneath the everyday surface of things.

“The interest in what lies beneath the everyday surface of things, the patterns in the chaos and the small moments that shift one’s whole being continue to pull on the hand and the mind. The practice keeps shifting and flowing along with everything else as decay and renewal endlessly progress as the seconds tick past. Making work is just another way of trying to make sense of what all this might be about”

Peter will be showing work at Hangmen Projects from  October 7 - October 29 - Opening: October 07 at 17.00-21.00
