We are proud to announce Hedvig Winge as our artist in residence at Nordiska Gästateljén Malongen in May. Hedvig Winge is an artist based in Oslo who uses clay in an expanded practice of sculpture or painting. Textiles are draped in porcelain clay and arranged in site specific installations. The processed based and performative practice may appear as theatre settings and throughout the exhibition period the installation slightly change character as the clay dry´s up. It´s a risk-taking, and elaborative work, based on an in-depth knowledge of clay as material. Hedvig Winge is invited as one of nine Nordic artists in the exhibition Beyond the Object at Uppsala konstmuseum.
