You are cordially invited to join us at the Open Studio event for current resident Awa Konaté.
Throughout her residency Konaté has been engaging in thinking around newer readings of Nordic contemporary as sites of multiple narratives that intertwine migration, Black aesthetics, and Postcolonial memories, thus providing new artistic and curatorial registers of this region.
For this event she will share snippets of her residency findings and in addition host a panel talk with invited speakers (tbc) reflecting on how artistic and curatorial interventions act as counter-narratives to historical accounts and spatial imaginaries.
