re:re Art Podcast - Premiär för podden re:re som undersöker sätt att åter:lära, åter:fantisera och åter:skapa konstnärliga praktiker på alternativa, hållbara och solidariska sätt. Alvaro Campo och My Lindh går i dialog med konstnärer, curatorer och aktörer inom konstfältet.
I det första avsnittet lyssnar vi till den Finlandsbaserade curatorn Taru Elfving i ett samtal som handlar om konstnärers rörlighet historiskt, i samtiden och i framtiden. Konstvärldens internationalisering bygger på idén om den nomadiska konstnären, som kan resa runt världen och inspireras, utan rötter eller åtaganden (ref. Miwon Kwon: En plats efter en annan. 1997). Ett mått på framgång har varit graden av rörlighet genom deltagande i mässor, biennaler, konferenser och residens. Men i praktiken är det väldigt få konstnärer som kan delta. Vi undersöker ursprunget till dessa idéer och hur alternativ kan upprättas.
Podden produceras som en del av projektet Redefining Residency, som drivs inom ramen för NKF:s verksamhet och med stöd av Region Stockholm.

Taru Elfving är en Helsingforsbaserad curator vars praktik fokuserar på platssensitiva undersökningar i skärningspunkten mellan ekologisk och feministisk tankevärld. Hon leder för närvarande en multidisciplinär plattform för konstnärlig forskning på den finska ön Själö, i samarbete med Skärgårdshavets forskningsinstitut. Elfving är medredaktör till antologin Contemporary Artist Residencies. Reclaiming Time and Space (Valiz 2019).
My Lindh är konstnär och baserad i Stockholm med en masterexamen i konst från Konstfack. Lindhs praktik är situations- och tidsbaserad och tar plats som installation, video, ljud och text. Lindh undersöker våra delade rum, hur vi blir till inför varandra, vilket handlingsutrymme som finns och för vem. Hon är intresserad av performativitet i förhållande till naturbegrepp, hur våra föreställningar om naturen kan rekonstrueras och omformuleras, och hur människan, andra levande varelser och materia är subjekt i dialog.
Alvaro Campo är konstnär och baserad i Stockholm. Han är utbildad på the International Center of Photography i New York och Kungliga konsthögskolan i Stockholm. Campos arbete är ofta platsspecifikt och växer fram i relation till det offentliga rummet, med frågor om agens och ansvar i förhållande till det gemensamma. Hans arbete undersöker även de föränderliga och alltmer flytande verklighetsuppfattningar som uppstår när mänskliga upplevelser närmar sig teknologin. Campo är intresserad av teknologins tolkningar av det sinnliga, och hur dessa påverkar människors vardagliga upplevelse och relation till den fysiska världen.

re:re Art Podcast - Release of the podcast re: re where we explore ways to re:learn, re:imagine and re:enact artistic practices in alternative, sustainable and solidary ways. Alvaro Campo and My Lindh enter into a dialogue with artists, curators and actors in the art field.
In the first episode, we listen to the Finnish-based curator Taru Elfving in a conversation about artists' mobility historically, in the present and in the future. The internationalization of the art world is based on the idea of the nomadic artist, who can travel around the world and be inspired, without roots or commitments (ref. Miwon Kwon: One place after another. 1997). A measure of success has been the degree of mobility through participation in fairs, biennials, conferences and residences. But in practice, very few artists can participate. We examine the origins of these ideas and how alternatives can be established.
The podcast is produced as part of the Redefining Residency project, which is run within the framework of NKF's operations and with the support of the Stockholm Region.

Taru Elfving is a Helsinki-based curator and researcher with a practice focused on site-sensitive investigations at the intersections of ecological and feminist thought. She is currently leading a multidisciplinary platform for artistic research on the island of Seili in collaboration with the Archipelago Sea Research Institute. Elfving is a co-editor of the anthology Contemporary Artist Residencies. Reclaiming Time and Space (Valiz 2019).
My Lindh is an artist based in Stockholm, with an MA from Konstfack. Lindhs practice is situation- and time sensitive and takes place as installation, video, audio and text. Lindhs work explores our shared spaces, how we co-become, what room for actions that exists and for whom. She is interested in performativity in relation to perceptions of nature, how notions of nature can be reconstructed and reformulated, and how human beings, other living beings and matter are in dialogue.
Alvaro Campo is an artist based in Stockholm, he is educated at the International Center of Photography in New York and at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. His work is often site-specific and developed in relation to the public sphere; where it addresses the sharing of common spaces and questions of agency and responsibility. His work also generally addresses a constantly shifting and evermore fluid sense of reality as human perception evolves closer and closer to technology. He is interested in the mediation of the senses by technology and how this influences human beings' everyday experience and their relationship to the physical and natural world.
